About the Role :
We are looking for an experienced Hardware Design Engineer with 5+ years of relevant hardware design experience to take ownership of the complete hardware development lifecycle - from understanding high-level design requirements through schematic design, PCB development, validation, and production release.
The ideal candidate should have strong analog and digital hardware design expertise and hands-on experience with Altium or Mentor Xpedition. Medical-domain experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities :
- Translate high-level design inputs into detailed hardware requirements and specifications.
- Own the complete hardware development lifecycle: requirements - schematic - PCB layout - bring-up - validation - release.
- Design and develop analog and digital hardware.
- Create and review schematics and work closely with CAD engineers on PCB layout.
- Ensure designs meet signal integrity, EMI/EMC, manufacturability, and reliability requirements.
- Perform board bring-up, debugging, testing, and hardware validation.
- Conduct design reviews and root-cause analysis for hardware issues.
- Prepare BOMs, test procedures, validation reports, and other technical documentation.
- Release hardware design documentation through Windchill/PLM systems.
- Support prototype builds and resolve production-related hardware issues.
- Collaborate with Firmware, Mechanical, SI/PI, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers where required.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant Hardware Design Engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in analog and digital circuit design.
- Experience in power supply design.
- Hands-on experience with Altium or Mentor Xpedition is mandatory.
- Experience with schematic design and PCB layout coordination.
- Hands-on experience in board bring-up, debugging, and validation.
- Good understanding of SI basics and EMI/EMC practices.
- Understanding of PCB manufacturing and design-for-manufacturing practices.
- Experience with hardware documentation and design-release processes.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience in the Medical / Medical Devices domain.
- Experience with Windchill or other PLM tools.
- High-speed hardware design experience involving DDR, USB, PCIe, Ethernet, etc.
- Exposure to SI/PI tools.
- Client interaction experience.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers.
