Role Overview :
As a Hardware Design and Validation Engineer, you will lead the development lifecycle of complex electronic systems, ensuring that designs meet rigorous performance and reliability standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including firmware developers, mechanical engineers, and manufacturing partners, to transition products from conceptual schematics to mass production. Your work directly influences the stability and efficiency of our client's hardware ecosystems, ensuring that every board delivered meets the highest benchmarks of quality and functional integrity.
Key Responsibilities :
- Architect and design complex multi-layer PCBs, ensuring signal integrity and power optimization for high-speed digital systems to meet client performance requirements.
- Execute comprehensive hardware validation and verification test plans, identifying design flaws early to minimize production risks and ensure product longevity.
- Conduct detailed board-level debugging and root cause analysis, resolving hardware bottlenecks to maintain project timelines and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware components with firmware and software stacks, ensuring seamless system-level interoperability.
- Manage the transition from prototype to production by overseeing DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design for Test) processes to ensure cost-effective and scalable manufacturing.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end hardware design, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection for high-speed interfaces.
- Proven ability to perform rigorous verification and validation testing using industry-standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex board-level issues and communicate technical findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and manage vendor relationships during the manufacturing phase.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, with 5 to 10 years of professional experience in hardware development.
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site environment in Bangalore, demonstrating adaptability to fast-paced project cycles and evolving technical requirements.
