We are having an opening for Group OT Security Architect / OT SOC SME.

Role Summary :

Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of Operational Technology (OT) security across the Groups industrial environments, including factories, construction, power transmission systems, and engineering operations. Owns both : OT Security Architecture (primary) and OT SOC / monitoring integration (secondary) along with MSSP partner. This role ensures secure, resilient, and safe industrial operations. Establishes practices to do secured patching, and remote monitoring of air gapped systems. Ensure no backdoor access/connections to OEMs in the pretext of patching updates, etc.

Previous Work Experience :

- 10+ years of experience in OT/IT security services

- 4-5 years in OT / ICS security or industrial environments

- Hands-on experience in : factories / industrial plants, power or energy sector

- Experience implementing : OT security architecture, plant-level segmentation

- Worked in multi subsidiary and large multi country organization

Key Responsibilities :

1. OT Security Architecture (Primary Responsibility) :

- Design secure OT environments using : Purdue Model Reference Architecture, network segmentation, zone and communication conduit architecture.

- Define : secure remote access for vendors, plant network security standards.

- Reviewing new plant/project designs for security integration proactively by coordinating with subsidiaries and plant leadership teams.

- OT Asset Discovery : Implement passive monitoring solutions to identify every PLC, HMI, SCADA systems, industrial networks and sensors across all the subsidiaries in scope.

- OT Threat Detection : Work with the SOC Lead (and MSSP) to create specific alerts/monitoring for Industrial Anomalies (ex : unauthorized logic changes to a controller). And integrate OT telemetry into SOC and other IT monitoring systems. Define OT specific threat detection cases as well.

- OEM/Vendor Management : Coordinate with industrial equipment providers (Siemens, ABB, etc.) to ensure security patches are applied during scheduled maintenance windows.

- Incident Response for OT : Develop specialized Safety-First IR playbooks for factory-floor ransomware or sabotage scenarios along with Incident Response Lead and GRC lead.

- Site Assessments : Conduct physical Walk-downs at factories in KSA, UAE, etc. to identify rogue access points or unsecured serial connections. Basically do OT risk assessment or own this function to execute through a vendor partner.

- Awareness & Capability Building : Train plant teams and OT engineers. Build OT cybersecurity awareness across subsidiaries.

2. OT Security Framework & Standards :

- Define and implement OT security policies, standards aligned to IEC 62443 and NIST (OT adaptation).

- Ensure adoption across factories/plants, substations and industrial facilities.

Core Skills :

- ICS/SCADA systems (Siemens, Schneider, ABB, etc.)

- Network segmentation and industrial protocols, Purdue Model architecture.

- OT risk assessment methodologies, IEC 62443 framework.

- OT monitoring tools (Nozomi, Claroty, Dragos, etc.) and experience with passive network monitoring.

- Integration with SIEM/SOC platforms, Industrial network protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC, etc.).

- Secure remote access solutions in OT environments and patching solutions through jump hosts in air gapped environments, etc.

- Physical Awareness : Understanding of the physical safety implications of cyber actions (ex : opening a breaker or changing a valve state).

Soft Skills :

- Ability to work with non-IT stakeholders (plant engineers) and build rapport with them.

- Strong influencing skills (OT teams often resist security to avoid any productivity impact and so this role needs to ensure there is no productivity or business or safety impact).

- Practical, safety-first mindset.

- Problem solving in constrained environments and finding solutions than complaining.
