Job Description

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Automotive SoC Platform Software Engineer to design, develop, and integrate foundational software for next-generation automotive electronic control units and computing platforms.

In this role, you will lead the development of Board Support Packages (BSP), device drivers, OS abstractions, and low-level communication infrastructure across high-performance automotive system-on-chip (SoC) architectures (e.g., Qualcomm SA8xxx, Renesas R-Car, NVIDIA Orin, TI).

You will collaborate closely with hardware, systems, functional safety, and software teams to deliver secure, real-time, deterministic, and safety-compliant platform foundation software from early silicon bring-up to production release.

Requirements :

- 7+ years of experience with a minimum of 4 years of SoC platform (BSP, POSIX, Adaptive Platform, SoC Drivers, etc.) development experience and 3+ years of experience in automotive, AD/ADAS, or other embedded system low-level domains.

- Strong experience in C/C++ development for automotive embedded systems, with the ability to develop automotive SoC platform foundation software.

- Technical experience with :

1. SoC Architecture : Qualcomm SA8xxx, Renesas RCAR, Nvidia Orin, TI.

2. Communication Protocols : PCIe, SPI, UART, XCP, CAN, Ethernet, USB.

3. Memory Management : UFS, DDR, Flash ROM, MMU.

4. SoC related : Inter Core Communication, Tensor Processing, Servers, Accelerators, POSIX OS, QNX, RTOS, middleware, hypervisor and container engines.

- Good experience of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.

- Strong Understanding of CPU/GPU architectures, data structures, OS internals, multi-threading, inter-process communications, memory management techniques.

- Extensive hands-on experience in BSP porting and device driver internals.

- Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering.

Job Responsibilities :

1. Foundation Software & BSP Development :

- Architect, design, develop, and optimize automotive SoC platform foundation software, Board Support Packages (BSP), and low-level device drivers in C/C++.

- Lead board bring-up, OS porting, and platform initialization across multi-core, heterogeneous CPU/GPU/accelerator architectures.

- Configure and develop drivers for high-speed and automotive communication interfaces, including PCIe, Ethernet, CAN, SPI, UART, USB, and XCP.

- Implement and optimize low-level memory management and storage drivers for DDR, UFS, Flash ROM, and configure MMU/MPU subsystems.

2. OS, Hypervisor & Runtime Platforms :

- Integrate, configure, and maintain POSIX-compliant operating systems, real-time operating systems (RTOS), QNX, and automotive virtualization layers/hypervisors.

- Implement robust inter-core communication (IPC), inter-process communication mechanisms, and resource virtualization across heterogeneous compute engines (CPU, GPU, Tensor Processing Units/accelerators).

- Support container engines and middleware execution environments tailored for automotive software stacks.

- Drive low-level performance profiling, multi-threading optimization, memory leak mitigation, and latency minimization.

3. Hardware-Software Integration & Bring-Up :

- Analyze schematics, IC datasheets, and electrical block diagrams to configure pin multiplexing, clocks, power domains, and low-level peripheral controllers.

- Troubleshoot complex low-level hardware/software timing issues using hardware debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.

- Work closely with hardware engineering teams during prototyping, silicon bring-up, and engineering validation test (EVT) phases.

4. Automotive Quality, Safety & Security :

- Implement secure boot flows, cryptographic authentication methods, and integrate hardware crypto algorithms for system integrity.

- Ensure code quality, maintainability, and standard compliance using MISRA C/C++ rules, static analysis, and code review processes.

- Support development within V-Model, ASPICE, and ISO 26262 functional safety frameworks, adhering to automotive cybersecurity guidelines.

- Participate in CI/CD pipeline automation to ensure automated builds, continuous integration, static analysis, and regression testing on target hardware benches.
