Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced openWRT / prplOS Lead with strong expertise in embedded Linux, router operating systems, and networking technologies.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Embedded C/C++, OpenWRT, prplOS, or similar router platforms, along with a solid understanding of BSP, device drivers, middleware integration, and next-generation Wi-Fi technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and enhance embedded networking solutions based on OpenWRT, prplOS, or similar router operating systems.

- Develop high-performance software using Embedded C/C++ for networking and communication devices.

- Integrate middleware, networking applications, and platform services within embedded Linux environments.

- Develop and customize BSPs, device drivers, and kernel modules for embedded devices.

- Support integration, debugging, performance tuning, and optimization of networking software.

- Work on Wi-Fi platform development, routing protocols, and broadband gateway solutions.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture, implement features, and resolve complex technical issues.

- Conduct code reviews, mentor team members, and ensure adherence to software quality standards.

- Participate in system integration, testing, and production support activities.

- Contribute to technical design discussions and drive engineering best practices.

Required Skills :

- 5 to 10 years of experience in Embedded Software Development.

- Strong hands-on expertise in Embedded C and C++ programming.

- Experience with OpenWRT, prplOS, or other Linux-based router operating systems.

- Strong understanding of embedded Linux architecture, networking stacks, and communication protocols.

- Experience working with BSP, device drivers, and custom kernel/module development.

- Hands-on experience integrating middleware and networking applications in embedded environments.

- Good understanding of Wi-Fi technologies, including Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 (exposure to Wi-Fi 8 is an added advantage).

- Experience with router software, broadband gateways, or networking devices.

- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Linux kernel development and embedded system optimization.

- Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, VLAN, and IPv6.

- Familiarity with build systems such as Yocto, Buildroot, or OpenWRT build environments.

- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.

- Exposure to Verizon broadband, telecom, or communication domain projects.

Education (Mandatory) :

- Full-time B.E./B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, MS, or equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline.
