Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency) :

Must-Have :

- 6+ years of experience in machine learning or NLP, with recent hands-on work in generative AI.

- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow, Transformers (Hugging Face).

- Experience working with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere) or open-source models.

- Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and fine-tuning techniques.

- Understanding of vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate).

- Proficient with tools like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Haystack.

- Experience with model evaluation, performance tuning, and safety constraints.

Good-to-Have :

- Familiarity with multi-modal models (e.g., CLIP, GPT-4V, Gemini, or Sora).

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for scalable deployment.

- Understanding of MLOps, CI/CD for ML, and model versioning tools (e.g., MLflow, Weights & Biases).

- Contributions to open-source AI projects or publications in GenAI.

- Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Streamlit, Gradio) for building GenAI apps.

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role :

1. Design, develop, and optimize generative AI models (e.g., LLMs, diffusion models, transformers).

2. Fine-tune or prompt-tune foundation models (OpenAI, Hugging Face, LLaMA, Mistral, Claude, etc.) for domain-specific tasks.

3. Build and maintain end-to-end GenAI applications using frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or custom pipelines.

4. Integrate GenAI models with APIs, user interfaces, or business workflows.

5. Conduct data preprocessing, synthetic data generation, and prompt engineering.

6. Collaborate closely with clients to prototype, build, test, and deploy products powered by GenAI/LLM technology on a large scale.

7. Stay updated with the latest GenAI trends, tools, and research papers.

8. Monitor and evaluate model performance, bias, safety, and compliance.
