Position Summary :

Senior Application Developer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of custom applications on the .NET platform, researching emerging technologies, conducting proof-of-concepts, and making recommendations, collaborating with team members and project owners to develop the required custom applications, and ensuring that Gallaghers data is protected in accordance with IT Policy and organizational priorities.

Primary Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and test custom applications on the .NET Core and .NET Framework.

- Code and test application integrations.

- Work collaboratively with team members and project owners to execute development plans effectively.

- Troubleshoot issues and develop solutions.

- Create proper documentation of designs and code.

- Comply with AJG IT Policies and Procedures and Professional Standards.

- Apply knowledge of best practices, current and emerging development trends and techniques to application development.

Skills and Competencies :

- 4+ years on the .NET Framework.

- 2+ years on the .Net Core.

- 3+ years of C# programming experience.

- Strong experience in ASP.NET MVC development.

- Strong experience in full stack development (frontend and backend).

- Strong experience in front end frameworks (Angular, ReactJS).

- Strong experiencing JavaScript/Frameworks (jQuery), CSS3/Bootstrap, HTML/HTML5.

- Strong experience with SQL Server development (stored procedures, functions, in memory objects, query optimization).

- Experience with WCF, Web API, and Console Apps.

- Experience in Azure Cloud Services (Azure SQL, App Services, ADFS, etc.) and cloud-based application development.

- Knowledge of application architecture and design patterns.

- Experienced in the SDLC (processes and best practices).

- Strong experience with software development principles and best practices (good coding skills).

- Good understanding of the application security (SDL and OWASP security principles).

- Experience with techniques to quickly and effectively troubleshoot and resolve application issues.

- Insurance industry experience is a plus.
