Role Overview :

As a Software Developer at Deskzero, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the core functionalities of our HireSort platform. You will contribute to building scalable, high-performance, and robust software solutions that power our agentic hiring workflows. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced technologies and make a direct impact on how companies identify and attract top talent globally.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications for the HireSort platform.

- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver innovative features.

- Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code adhering to established coding standards and best practices.

- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring high-quality software output.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and technical issues in a timely manner.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the software development lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.

- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security.

- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying relevant advancements to enhance our product.

- Ensure the compliance and security of sensitive hiring data within the platform.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

- 3 - 5 years of professional experience in software development.

- Strong proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.

- Experience with web application development, including familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React) or back-end frameworks (e.g., Django, Node.js).

- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software design principles.

- Experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL) and designing efficient database schemas.

- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.

- Ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS).

- Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Exposure to AI/ML concepts, natural language processing (NLP), or machine learning frameworks.

- Understanding of full-stack development principles and practices.

- Experience in the Human Resources Technology (HR Tech) domain.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges.
