Role Overview :

Own end-to-end feature development across backend services and modern React-based frontend.

Work primarily with Java/Spring Boot, Node.js/TypeScript/JavaScript, and React.

Design scalable APIs, data models and reliable services.

Work closely with Product, Design and Engineering teams to translate requirements into practical technical solutions.

Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, engineering standards and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop scalable backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js / TypeScript.

- Build clean, secure and scalable REST APIs, including API contracts, versioning, pagination and error handling.

- Lead frontend development using React, including hooks, routing and state management such as Zustand.

- Design and optimize relational data models using PostgreSQL / MySQL.

- Work on database indexing, migrations, SQL optimization and query tuning.

- Implement service-level patterns such as OAuth/JWT authentication, Idempotency, Retries and backoff, and Logging/metrics/tracing.

- Drive engineering quality through unit, integration and end-to-end testing.

- Participate in code reviews, design documents/RFCs and technical documentation.

- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and production observability.

- Mentor junior/mid-level engineers and promote good engineering practices.

Required Experience :

- 5+ years of professional software development experience.

- Strong production experience across Java and JavaScript/TypeScript.

- Strong experience with Spring Boot and/or Node.js.

- Solid hands-on experience with React and API-driven frontend development.

- Strong understanding of REST APIs and API-driven architectures.

- Good knowledge of SQL, joins, transactions and database normalization.

- Comfortable working in a startup/fast-paced environment with ownership and accountability.
