We are seeking a Founding Member of Technical Staff to build the next generation of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) algorithms powered by AI. As an early team member, you will play a pivotal role in defining our technology roadmap, developing scalable optimization algorithms, and creating intelligent systems that transform chip design workflows.
In this role, you will design and implement advanced algorithms for placement, routing, timing optimization, verification, and physical design. You will leverage machine learning, optimization techniques, and large-scale data processing to improve the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of semiconductor design tools. You will collaborate closely with AI researchers, software engineers, and domain experts to translate cutting-edge research into production-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop high-performance EDA algorithms for physical design, optimization, and verification.
- Build AI/ML models to automate and optimize chip design workflows.
- Design scalable software systems capable of handling large semiconductor datasets.
- Optimize algorithm performance for runtime, memory efficiency, and accuracy.
- Work closely with customers and engineering teams to solve complex design challenges.
- Contribute to technical strategy, product architecture, and engineering best practices as an early founding engineer.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, optimization, and systems programming.
- Experience with EDA tools, semiconductor design flows, or CAD algorithms.
- Proficiency in C++, Python, and software engineering best practices.
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow is highly desirable.
- Experience in graph algorithms, combinatorial optimization, reinforcement learning, or generative AI is a plus.
This is a unique opportunity to shape both the product and the company from day one. You will work on technically challenging problems at the intersection of AI and semiconductor design, collaborate with a world-class team, and help build the future of intelligent EDA platforms while having significant ownership, influence, and long-term growth opportunities.
