Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced BIOS Customer Applications Engineer to support AMD Embedded and x86 customers across BIOS/firmware, platform bring-up, customer issue triage, technical escalations, and production readiness.

The role will act as a technical bridge between customers, FAEs, BIOS/Firmware Engineering, Platform Engineering, Validation, Quality, Product Management, and Program Management teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Act as the primary technical interface for customer issues, requirements, feature requests, and platform enablement.

- Support BIOS configuration, UEFI flows, firmware debugging, platform initialization, ACPI, SMBIOS, Secure Boot, PCIe, and memory configuration.

- Own customer issue triage, including reproduction, technical data collection, debugging, prioritization, tracking, and closure.

- Drive technical escalations with BIOS, Firmware, Silicon, Validation, QA, Product, and Program teams.

- Support customer platform bring-up across prototype, validation, and production phases.

- Analyze customer feature requests and assess technical feasibility and engineering requirements.

- Provide technically accurate customer updates, workaround guidance, issue summaries, and closure reports.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 6 - 9 years of experience in BIOS Engineering, Firmware Development, Customer Application Engineering, Customer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or Platform Engineering.

- Strong hands-on experience with BIOS/UEFI and x86 or embedded platforms.

- Strong platform-level debugging experience across BIOS, firmware, hardware, OS, drivers, virtualization, power, and performance.

- Experience with debug tools such as JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, firmware trace/debug tools, BIOS utilities, and crash dump analysis.

- Working knowledge of Linux, Windows, Embedded Linux, and scripting/automation using Python or Shell.
