Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our Global Revenue Analytics and Solutions Data Engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and administer scalable data solutions using Ab Initio, while also contributing to broader enterprise data initiatives. You will ensure high performance, reliability, and compliance across mission-critical systems, and act as a bridge between technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership. This position combines deep technical expertise with strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage with business leaders, and contribute to the strategic evolution of our data ecosystem.

What your main responsibilities are :

- Design Scalable Data Solutions : Architect and implement secure, efficient, and scalable Ab Initio applications and frameworks.

- Build & Maintain Data Pipelines : Develop, optimize, and support ETL workflows for ingestion, transformation, and integration across diverse enterprise systems.

- Administer Ab Initio Environments : Manage Ab Initio Co>Operating System, GDE, EME, and Conduct>It, ensuring smooth operations, upgrades, and performance tuning.

- Customer-Facing Engagement : Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, present solutions, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.

- Management Communication : Provide clear updates, status reports, and technical insights to leadership, bridging technical detail with business impact.

- Leverage Broader Data Platforms : Work with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse Analytics where integration with Ab Initio is required.

- Support BI at Scale : Enable high-performance reporting and dashboarding by integrating Ab Initio pipelines with BI platforms like Power BI.

- Ensure Data Quality & Governance : Implement validation, lineage tracking, and monitoring to maintain trust and compliance in enterprise data.

- Optimize for Scale & Efficiency : Tune ETL processes and system configurations for cost effectiveness and performance in large-scale environments.

- Collaborate Across Teams : Partner with Data Scientists, Analysts, Product Managers, and IT teams to deliver integrated solutions.

- Knowledge Sharing & Mentorship : Promote best practices, continuous learning, and team collaboration.

- Develop Business Acumen : Gain a strong understanding of enterprise operations, customer needs, and value drivers.

What we are looking for :

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 4-6 years of experience in Ab Initio development and administration.

- Strong proficiency in Ab Initio tools (Co>Operating System, GDE, EME, Conduct>It).

- Expertise in ETL design, data warehousing, and large-scale data integration.

- Ability to work with diverse data sources (databases, APIs, flat files, Excel, PDFs).

- Familiarity with DevOps, Git, and CI/CD for data workflows.

- Excellent communication skills for customer-facing and management interactions.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration abilities.

- Interest in understanding business context and applying data solutions strategically.

Good to Have / Added Advantage :

- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or large enterprise operations.

- Exposure to BI/reporting tools like Power BI and enterprise-scale data platforms.

- Prior experience in customer-facing solution delivery and stakeholder management.

- Knowledge of Azure or Databricks for hybrid data engineering environments.

- Ab Initio certifications.
