Factspan - Technical Lead - AI/ML

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Technical Lead - AI/ML Engineering to lead the design, development, and deployment of next-generation AI-powered enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in full stack engineering, cloud architecture, and modern Artificial Intelligence technologies including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Agentic AI systems, and scalable machine learning platforms.

As a Technical Lead, you will drive technical strategy, mentor engineering teams, and deliver highly scalable, secure, and intelligent applications that support business growth and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

AI/ML & Generative AI Leadership :

- Lead the architecture and development of AI/ML platforms and enterprise AI applications

- Design and implement LLM-based solutions including :

1. Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

2. Agentic AI workflows

3. Conversational AI systems

4. AI summarization engines

5. Embedding pipelines

- Build scalable machine learning pipelines for model training, inference, monitoring, and optimization

- Drive adoption of Generative AI best practices and AI governance standards

- Collaborate with Data Science, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver AI-driven business solutions

Technical Architecture & Engineering :

- Lead architectural design and technical decision-making for enterprise applications

- Ensure engineering best practices including code quality, testing, scalability, and performance optimization

- Manage integrations with internal systems and third-party services

- Drive modernization initiatives across applications and infrastructure

Team Leadership & Delivery :

- Mentor and guide engineering teams on AI/ML and software development best practices

- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical mentoring sessions

- Drive Agile development processes and ensure timely project delivery

- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning

- Work closely with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives

Technical Skill Set :

AI/ML & Generative AI Skills :

Strong hands-on experience with :

- Large Language Models (LLMs)

- Generative AI applications

- RAG architectures

- Agentic AI frameworks

- Prompt Engineering

- Embeddings and Vector Databases

- NLP and Conversational AI

- Experience with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or AutoGen

- Knowledge of Machine Learning lifecycle management and MLOps

- Experience with model monitoring, evaluation, and deployment pipelines

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

- 10- 14 years of software engineering and application development experience

- Proven experience leading AI/ML and enterprise engineering teams

- Hands-on experience delivering production-grade AI-powered applications

- Strong problem-solving and technical leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with enterprise AI governance and compliance frameworks

- Exposure to scalable AI infrastructure and hybrid cloud environments

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
