Senior Data Scientist - Machine Learning

Job Overview :

The Senior Data Scientist will lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions that solve complex business problems using structured, unstructured, and multimodal data. The role combines statistical modeling, predictive analytics, LLM-powered applications, and scalable MLOps practices across modern cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Translate business problems into analytical frameworks, technical specifications, and AI solution architectures.

- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), feature engineering, statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experiment design.

- Develop predictive models for classification, regression, forecasting, anomaly detection, clustering, and recommendation systems.

- Develop, train, fine-tune, evaluate, and deploy Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI models.

- Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, and enterprise knowledge sources.

- Develop LLM-powered applications for document understanding, summarization, question answering, and intelligent assistants.

- Implement prompt engineering, structured outputs, function calling, evaluation pipelines, and responsible AI practices.

- Build scalable data ingestion, preprocessing, and feature engineering pipelines using distributed data processing frameworks.

- Deploy, monitor, and optimize AI/ML solutions using cloud-native ML platforms, containerization, orchestration, CI/CD, experiment tracking, and model monitoring.

- Optimize inference latency, GPU utilization, scalability, reliability, and operational costs.

- Monitor production models for drift, performance, and business impact.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior data scientists.

Required Skills :

- Strong expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and optimization.

- Hands-on experience with Python, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.

- Strong understanding of probability, statistics, hypothesis testing, feature engineering, model validation, and experimentation.

- Experience building Generative AI applications using LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, prompt engineering, and function calling.

- Experience deploying AI/ML solutions using cloud-native ML platforms, containerization, orchestration, CI/CD, and MLOps practices.

- Experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Spark and strong SQL skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Python, NLP, Computer Vision, Time Series Forecasting, Recommendation Systems, or Document Intelligence.

- Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks and vector databases.

- Experience with one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

- Strong communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and mentoring skills.
