Role Overview :
As a Data Engineer specializing in Snowflake, you will be at the core of our data platform initiatives, designing and maintaining high-performance pipelines that power our clients' analytical ecosystems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and cloud architects, to translate complex business requirements into scalable data solutions. Your work will directly influence the reliability and accessibility of data, ensuring that stakeholders across the organization can make informed, data-driven decisions with speed and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities :
- Architect and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load large volumes of data into Snowflake, ensuring high availability and performance for downstream analytics.
- Design and implement sophisticated data models that support complex reporting requirements and business intelligence initiatives.
- Optimize SQL queries and Snowflake warehouse configurations to improve cost-efficiency and processing speed for large-scale data workloads.
- Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT processes using Python and Apache Spark to handle diverse data sources and formats.
- Implement comprehensive data governance and cataloging frameworks to ensure data quality, lineage, and compliance across the cloud environment.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to automate data workflows and integrate best practices for continuous deployment and monitoring.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing Snowflake data warehouses, including performance tuning and resource management.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data manipulation and Python for building scalable data processing scripts.
- Proven ability to build and manage end-to-end data pipelines using Apache Spark and modern ETL frameworks.
- Strong understanding of data modeling techniques, including star schema and snowflake schema designs, tailored for cloud-native environments.
- Experience in implementing cloud data governance and cataloging tools to maintain data integrity and security standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively in a collaborative, hybrid-work environment.
- A minimum of 4 to 12 years of professional experience in data engineering roles, with a track record of delivering high-impact data solutions.
- Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field is preferred.
