Role Overview :

We are looking for a hands-on Vice President of Engineering to lead the development of next-generation AI, Physical AI, Robotics, and enterprise software products. This is a high-impact leadership role that combines technical depth with execution excellence, requiring someone who enjoys building products as much as leading engineering teams.

Working closely with the founders and product leadership, you will own the engineering strategy, architecture, execution, and scaling of intelligent systems that combine AI with robotics, computer vision, automation, and large-scale data infrastructure.

This role is ideal for an engineering leader who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and has a passion for building production-grade AI systems that interact with the physical world.

Key Responsibilities :

Engineering Leadership :

- Lead engineering across AI, Physical AI, Robotics, and enterprise software products.

- Define the engineering roadmap, architecture, and technical strategy.

- Own the complete software development lifecycle from product ideation through deployment and scale.

- Build a high-performance engineering culture focused on innovation, speed, quality, and ownership.

- Drive engineering productivity, execution excellence, and operational reliability.

Technical Leadership :

- Remain actively involved in architecture, system design, code reviews, and technical decision-making.

- Design scalable distributed systems and cloud-native applications.

- Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes.

- Mentor senior engineers and engineering managers while fostering technical excellence.

AI & Machine Learning :

- Lead the development of AI-powered products using modern AI technologies.

- Build solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), Vision Language Models (VLMs), AI Agents, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision.

- Collaborate with AI/ML teams on model training, fine-tuning, deployment, and MLOps.

- Develop scalable AI infrastructure and production-ready machine learning systems.

Physical AI & Robotics :

- Drive engineering initiatives involving robotics, autonomous systems, and intelligent automation.

- Lead development across robot perception, sensor fusion, computer vision, reinforcement learning, and edge AI.

- Build applications using ROS/ROS2 and robotics simulation environments.

- Develop intelligent systems capable of interacting with real-world environments.

Physical AI Data Infrastructure :

- Design and build scalable data generation platforms for Physical AI and robotics applications.

- Develop pipelines for real-world and synthetic data collection.

- Build annotation, labeling, and quality assurance workflows for multimodal datasets.

- Manage data pipelines involving video, images, LiDAR, IMU, GPS, depth sensors, and telemetry.

- Improve dataset quality and diversity to enhance AI model performance.

Cross-functional Collaboration :

- Partner closely with Founders, Product Managers, Engineering, Business, Customer Success, and Enterprise clients.

- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

- Align engineering priorities with product strategy and customer needs.

- Communicate technical direction effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 10 to 14 years of software engineering experience with progressive leadership responsibilities.

- Strong hands-on expertise in Python backend development.

- Experience building scalable distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native applications.

- Strong knowledge of React.js for modern web applications.

- Experience building cross-platform applications using Flutter.

- Understanding of Android and/or iOS native development.

- Deep expertise in APIs, cloud platforms, DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, and production operations.

- Strong system design and software architecture skills.

- Experience building and scaling high-performing engineering teams.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to thrive in fast-paced startup environments with high ownership.
