About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in React.js and Python to lead high-performing engineering teams and drive the successful delivery of scalable web applications. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical expertise with people management skills, ensuring engineering excellence, timely project delivery, and continuous team growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and mentor a team of frontend and backend engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

- Design, develop, and oversee scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications using React.js and Python.

- Drive technical architecture decisions, code quality, and engineering best practices.

- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver business-critical features.

- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and software development best practices.

- Plan project timelines, allocate resources, and monitor project execution.

- Identify technical risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.

- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.

- Support CI/CD implementation and ensure smooth deployment processes.

- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the engineering ecosystem.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 7-10 years of software development experience with strong expertise in React.js and Python.

- 2+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams.

- Strong understanding of frontend development using React, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.

- Solid backend development experience with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.

- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git.

- Strong understanding of system design, scalability, security, and performance optimization.

- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

- Exposure to DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code.

- Knowledge of GraphQL, WebSockets, or event-driven architectures is an added advantage.

- Experience working with distributed systems and cloud-native applications.
