- Foster a collaborative and innovative engineering culture focused on delivering high-quality software products.

- Mentor and coach engineers to foster their technical growth and career development, with emphasis on modern JavaScript/TypeScript best practices.

Technical Leadership :

MEAN Stack & AWS :

- Define and enforce coding standards and best practices within the engineering team for TypeScript/JavaScript, Angular component architecture, RESTful API design, and Node.js services.

- Conduct code reviews and ensure high code quality and adherence to engineering standards across the full stack.

- Oversee MongoDB Atlas configuration, schema design, indexing strategies, aggregation pipelines, and data migration processes.

- Drive architecture decisions for AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and related infrastructure.

- Identify technical risks and challenges early in the project lifecycle and propose mitigation strategies, particularly around scalability, security, and cloud cost optimisation.

Delivery & Operations :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications.

- Drive automation in the engineering teams, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation), and automated testing.

- Drive continuous improvement in development processes and tools to increase efficiency and quality.

- Act as a technical liaison between engineering, product management, and other stakeholders.

- Coordinate with Platform Test teams to ensure thorough testing and validation of software products.

- Oversee deployment and release processes using AWS-based CI/CD to ensure smooth and reliable product launches.

- Monitor system performance via CloudWatch, application logging, and APM tooling; address technical issues promptly to maintain product stability.

- Provide technical leadership during incidents and outages, facilitating root cause analysis and resolution across the application and infrastructure layers.

Experiences and Skills :

- 10+ years of experience in product development (including up to 3 years in engineering management).

- Strong full-stack engineering experience with the MEAN stack: MongoDB, Express.js, Angular (2+), and Node.js in a product development environment.

- Proven experience designing and operating production workloads on AWS, including services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, and RDS/DocumentDB or MongoDB Atlas.

- Hands-on proficiency with MongoDB Atlas: cluster management, performance tuning, indexing, aggregation framework, change streams, and backup/restore strategies.

- Maintain hands-on involvement with coding approximately 20% of the time.

- Expertise in architecture and design reviews, system design, code reviews, customer issues, troubleshooting, and defect triage.

- Demonstrates resilience and flexibility, consistently adapting while managing priorities with efficiency.

- A strong willingness to learn and a growth mindset.

- Excellent communication and servant-leadership skills.

- Knowledge and experience of agile development methodology (Scrum, Agile, and Kanban).

Preferred :
