Key Responsibilities :

- Define and own the multi-year engineering strategy and roadmap for Security Products in India, aligning closely with global security and product leadership.

- Lead, grow, and inspire a multi-team engineering organization spanning threat detection, identity management, data protection, and security infrastructure.

- Partner with VP-level and C-suite stakeholders across Product, Security Architecture, Legal, Finance, and Go-to-Market teams to translate business priorities into executable technical plans.

- Drive organizational design, headcount planning, workforce strategy, and talent development to scale the India engineering organization in support of global security objectives.

- Establish engineering excellence across teams, including coding standards, architectural reviews, engineering processes, incident management, reliability practices, and operational health benchmarks.

- Champion a culture of security-first engineering, proactive risk management, operational ownership, and continuous improvement across the full software development lifecycle.

- Lead sustaining engineering strategy, including technical debt reduction, aging ticket resolution, platform modernization, and long-term product health.

- Own delivery accountability across multiple concurrent engineering programs, ensuring successful preview and GA launches while proactively managing cross-team dependencies, risks, and technical challenges.

- Recruit, retain, mentor, and develop senior engineering talent while driving performance management, career frameworks, leadership development, and succession planning.

- Represent the India engineering organization in global leadership forums and serve as the primary escalation point for critical security product engineering decisions.

- Drive engineering innovation and adoption of modern technologies, architectures, development methodologies, and security practices.

What You'll Bring :

- 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 6+ years in senior engineering leadership or management roles, including experience managing managers.

- Proven track record of building and scaling engineering organizations of 50+ engineers delivering complex cloud-scale security products or distributed systems.

- 8+ years of experience building products within cybersecurity organizations or security-focused engineering functions.

- Deep expertise in security protocols, cryptography, identity management, application security, and modern security architecture.

- Strong technical fluency in Go and JavaScript/Node.js, with the ability to participate credibly in architecture, design, and technical strategy discussions.

- Deep understanding of distributed systems at scale, including consensus, replication, partitioning, fault tolerance, and consistency models.

- Strong production experience with Apache Flink and advanced Kafka for high-volume event stream processing.

- Deep Kubernetes expertise, particularly in operating security-critical workloads at scale.

- Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure, including a strong understanding of cloud security models.

- Hands-on understanding of Infrastructure as Code and automation technologies such as Terraform, Helm, and Chef.

- Experience designing and operating systems capable of processing millions of events per second.

- Broad understanding of the security technology landscape, including SIEM, WAF, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, CSPM, identity security, and threat detection platforms.

- Proven ability to influence and align senior cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Security, Legal, Finance, and Business teams within a global organization.

- Exceptional communication skills, executive presence, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate effectively across multiple time zones.

- Strong ownership mindset, bias for action, and ability to operate effectively in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.

- Experience architecting large-scale distributed systems and microservices platforms.

- Deep expertise in cryptography and secure communication protocols.

- Contributions to open-source security projects or active participation in the cybersecurity research community.

- Experience developing and executing global engineering strategies across geographically distributed teams.

Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
