Job Summary :

We are seeking an IT Asset Management (ITAM) Engineer to manage the complete lifecycle of hardware, software, and cloud assets while ensuring compliance, license optimization, and accurate asset tracking across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage hardware and software asset lifecycle from procurement to retirement.

- Maintain accurate asset inventory and CMDB records.

- Monitor software license usage and ensure vendor compliance.

- Perform software reconciliation and license optimization.

- Implement and maintain ITAM processes and governance.

- Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, IT Operations, and Security teams.

- Conduct regular audits and compliance checks.

- Generate reports on software utilization, renewals, and asset health.

- Support vendor audits and licensing reviews.

- Automate asset discovery and reconciliation processes.

- Recommend cost optimization strategies for IT assets.

Required Skills :

- Strong understanding of IT Asset Management processes.

- Experience with ServiceNow ITAM or equivalent ITAM platforms.

- Knowledge of Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM).

- Experience with CMDB and asset discovery tools.

- Understanding of software licensing models (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, VMware, etc.).

- Familiarity with ITIL processes.

- Knowledge of SQL and reporting tools.

- Strong analytical and documentation skills.

- Experience with automation and integrations using REST APIs.

Preferred Qualifications:

- ITIL Foundation certification.

- ServiceNow ITAM certification.

- Experience in enterprise asset governance and compliance.
