Role Overview :

As an Embedded Unit Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and functional safety of embedded software components through rigorous verification processes. You will work closely with software developers and system architects to design, implement, and execute unit tests that validate code quality against stringent industry standards. By identifying defects early in the development lifecycle, you will directly influence the stability of mission-critical systems and ensure that our deliverables meet the highest benchmarks for performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and execute comprehensive unit test cases using Tessy to validate embedded software modules against technical specifications.

- Automate testing workflows using Python to increase efficiency and ensure consistent coverage across various software builds.

- Analyze test results and collaborate with cross-functional development teams to debug issues and implement effective code fixes.

- Maintain traceability between software requirements and test cases to ensure full compliance with safety standards such as ISO 26262 or ASPICE.

- Optimize test environments and configurations to simulate real-world hardware behavior for accurate software verification.

Required Skillset :

- Proficiency in C and Embedded C programming, with a deep understanding of memory management and hardware-software interaction.

- Demonstrated expertise in using Tessy for unit testing and integration testing within embedded environments.

- Ability to script and automate testing tasks using Python to streamline verification processes.

- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex technical requirements and translate them into robust test scenarios.

- Excellent communication skills to effectively document findings and collaborate with global stakeholders in a remote-first or distributed work environment.

- A degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline, complemented by a strong foundation in software testing methodologies.
