Job Purpose : Designs, develops, and tests embedded IoT hardware-software solutions for consumer and commercial devices, including sensor integration, cloud connectivity, and basic front-end data visualisation.

Roles and responsibilities :

Embedded Programming & Microcontroller Development :

- Write and debug Arduino/C/C++ code for microcontroller-based IoT projects (Arduino Uno, Nano, Mega, ESP8266, ESP32)

- Implement communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and 1-Wire for reliable sensor interfacing

- Develop firmware with focus on memory efficiency and real-time performance on resource-constrained hardware

- Perform OTA (Over-the-Air) firmware update implementation and version management

Sensor Interfacing :

- Interface basic sensors : temperature (DHT11/DHT22, LM35), humidity, ultrasonic (HC-SR04), IR, LDR, MQ-series gas/smoke sensors

- Interface advanced sensors : GPS (NEO-6M), IMU/accelerometer (MPU-6050), load cells (HX711), current/voltage sensors (INA219), RFID (RC522), fingerprint modules

- Perform sensor calibration, data filtering (moving average, Kalman filter), and noise reduction for accurate readings

- Handle analog and digital sensor signals including ADC/DAC interfacing as required

Circuit Design & Prototyping :

- Design and prototype circuits on breadboards and perfboards for IoT applications

- Prepare schematic diagrams using EasyEDA, Fritzing, or KiCad

- Apply electronics fundamentals : Ohm's law, pull-up/pull-down resistors, voltage dividers, transistor switching, relay driving

- Collaborate with hardware teams on power supply circuits, level-shifters, and basic PCB layout

Cloud / Database Integration & IoT Connectivity :

- Transmit sensor data to cloud platforms such as AWS IoT Core, Google Cloud IoT, Blynk, or ThingSpeak via Wi-Fi, GSM/GPRS, or LoRa

- Implement MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, and WebSocket protocols for reliable IoT data transfer

- Store and retrieve data from MySQL, Firebase Realtime Database, InfluxDB, or Supabase

- Handle JSON/XML data parsing and REST API integration for end-to-end IoT pipelines

Front-End Dashboard & Web Integration :

- Build basic web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to display live sensor data and device status

- Create lightweight dashboards using Chart.js or Bootstrap for real-time IoT data visualisation

- Integrate REST APIs to fetch and display IoT data dynamically on web interfaces

- Basic understanding of Node.js or Python Flask for backend data serving is a plus

Qualification/Experience :

Education : B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)

Experience :

- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in IoT / embedded systems development

- Proficiency in Arduino IDE, PlatformIO, or equivalent embedded development environments

- Working knowledge of MQTT and HTTP protocols for IoT communication

- Experience with sensor interfacing, microcontroller programming, and cloud/database integration

- Freshers with strong final-year IoT projects or internships may be considered

- Portfolio of IoT projects or GitHub repository showing practical work is highly preferred

Technical Skills :

- Proficient in Arduino / C / C++ for embedded systems development

- Experience with ESP8266, ESP32, and Arduino-based microcontroller boards

- Hands-on with sensor interfacing (basic and advanced) and circuit design

- Knowledge of MQTT, HTTP, REST API, and IoT communication protocols

- Basic web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

- Familiarity with cloud IoT platforms : AWS IoT Core, Google IoT, Blynk, ThingSpeak

- Database experience : MySQL, Firebase, InfluxDB, or MongoDB

- Tools : Arduino IDE, PlatformIO, EasyEDA, KiCad, Fritzing, Git, Node-RED, Grafana

- Python scripting basics (Flask / data processing) is a plus
