Job Overview :
We are looking for an experienced Embedded Firmware Engineer with 68 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems and IoT product development. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Embedded C/C++, ARM-based microcontrollers, RTOS, communication protocols, firmware debugging, and hardware-software integration.
You will work closely with hardware, cloud, and product engineering teams to develop robust, production-grade firmware for connected IoT devices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware for IoT products.
- Develop firmware using Embedded C/C++ for ARM Cortex and other embedded platforms.
- Design and implement low-level drivers and peripheral interfaces.
- Develop firmware for STM32, ESP32, PIC, ARM Cortex, or similar microcontrollers.
- Implement communication protocols including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, MQTT, TCP/IP, BLE, and Wi-Fi.
- Develop multitasking applications using FreeRTOS or similar Real-Time Operating Systems.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers during board bring-up and hardware validation.
- Integrate firmware with cloud platforms and mobile/web applications.
- Optimize firmware for performance, memory utilization, and low-power operation.
- Troubleshoot embedded hardware and firmware issues using JTAG, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, and other debugging tools.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, documentation, and release activities.
- Support field validation, manufacturing, production deployment, and customer issue resolution.
Required Skills :
- 68 years of embedded firmware development experience.
- Strong programming skills in Embedded C and C++.
- Hands-on experience with ARM Cortex, STM32, ESP32, PIC, or similar microcontrollers.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture.
- Experience with FreeRTOS or similar RTOS.
- Experience implementing UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, MQTT, TCP/IP, BLE, and Wi-Fi communication protocols.
- Strong debugging skills using JTAG, Logic Analyzer, Oscilloscope, and embedded debugging tools.
- Experience with Git and version control systems.
- Understanding of firmware development lifecycle and embedded software engineering best practices.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or similar IoT cloud platforms.
- Experience implementing OTA (Over-the-Air) firmware updates.
- Understanding of hardware schematics and PCB design.
- Experience with low-power firmware optimization.
- Knowledge of secure firmware development is an added advantage.
Education :
- B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
