The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of software development expertise, hardware knowledge, and a passion for innovation. This role requires hands-on involvement in design, development, and validation, while mentoring teams and fostering collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and develop robust software solutions for Battery Management Systems and electrification technologies, ensuring seamless integration of software and hardware components.

- Lead hands-on software development, including coding, debugging, and optimization for embedded systems.

- Collaborate on hardware design, validation processes, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing to ensure system reliability and performance.

- Implement and oversee functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262) and cybersecurity measures to protect systems from vulnerabilities.

- Utilize MATLAB/Simulink for model-based development, simulation, and rapid prototyping of BMS and electrification architectures.

- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, stakeholders, and management, to align on project goals and deliverables.

- Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on best practices, technical skills, and problem-solving approaches.

- Drive an R&D mindset by exploring emerging technologies, conducting feasibility studies, and proposing innovative solutions to advance electrification initiatives.

- Participate in system-level testing, validation, and troubleshooting to meet quality and safety requirements.

- Stay updated on industry trends in BMS, electrification, functional safety, and cybersecurity to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications and Skills Required :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.

- Proven hands-on experience in software development for embedded systems, preferably in automotive or energy sectors.

- Strong knowledge of hardware design principles, validation techniques, functional safety (e.g., ASIL levels), and cybersecurity protocols.

- Expertise in HIL testing environments and tools.

- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for model-based development and simulation.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

- Demonstrated mentoring experience, with a track record of guiding teams to successful project outcomes.

- An R&D-oriented mindset, with a passion for innovation, problem-solving, and continuous learning.

Preferred (Plus) :

- Exposure to power electronics design and integration.

- Experience in Electrical/Electronic (EE) architecture for automotive systems.

- Knowledge of Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) concepts and implementation.

- System engineering expertise, including requirements management and traceability.

- Hands-on experience with industry tools from Vector (CANoe, CANalyzer) and dSPACE (SCALEXIO, ControlDesk).

- Experience in design and implementation of HIL systems specifically for BMS testing.

- Proficiency in communication protocols : Ethernet, ISO/SPI, CAN, LIN, and related automotive networks.

- FPGA development experience for real-time control and interfacing.

- Experience in the automotive or electrification industry.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting while managing multiple priorities.
