About the Role :


We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior or Staff Backend Engineer to join our growing team in New York. You will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining backend infrastructure for our cutting-edge Web3 products within the DeFi space. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for individuals passionate about blockchain technologies, Rust, and decentralized finance.

Key Responsibilities :


- Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems using Rust.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

- Contribute to the design and development of DeFi protocols and smart contract integrations.

- Optimize system performance and reliability for Web3 applications.

- Work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and blockchain developers.

- Write clean, maintainable code and perform code reviews for peers.

- Stay current with the evolving DeFi and Web3 landscape to bring innovative ideas into our technology stack.

Required Qualifications :

- 9+ years of backend engineering experience with a strong foundation in system design, data structures, and algorithms.

- Strong experience with Rust in production environments.

- Prior experience working in Web3 companies or on DeFi applications is mandatory.

- Deep understanding of the DeFi ecosystem, including protocols like Uniswap, Aave, Compound, Curve, etc.

- Proficiency with RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

- Familiarity with blockchain data structures, nodes, and wallet systems.

- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and testing skills.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
