Job Description

Role Overview:

We are looking for a DSP Optimization Engineer with strong experience in Embedded C, DSP algorithm optimization, and VLIW/SIMD architectures. The role involves developing and optimizing DSP software, improving execution efficiency, identifying performance bottlenecks, and supporting system-level integration.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and optimize DSP software and algorithms using Embedded C.

- Optimize DSP algorithms for VLIW and SIMD architectures to improve execution efficiency and throughput.

- Analyze application performance and identify CPU, memory, latency, and execution bottlenecks.

- Perform low-level debugging, profiling, performance analysis, and optimization of embedded DSP applications.

- Optimize code for instruction-level parallelism, vector processing, memory access, and computational efficiency.

- Work with DMA and memory-management mechanisms to optimize data movement and processing performance.

- Support integration of optimized DSP components into embedded systems and applications.

- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, algorithm, and system teams to resolve performance and integration issues.

- Conduct performance benchmarking and validate optimizations against system and application requirements.

- Troubleshoot complex runtime, functional, and performance issues in embedded environments.

Required Skills:

- 3 - 6 years of experience in DSP software development, embedded systems, or embedded software optimization.

- Strong hands-on programming experience in Embedded C.

- Strong understanding of DSP algorithms and optimization techniques.

- Hands-on experience with VLIW and SIMD architectures.

- Experience with low-level debugging, profiling, performance analysis, and bottleneck identification.

- Understanding of DMA, memory architecture, cache, and data movement optimization.

- Experience with embedded software development and system integration.

- Knowledge of C++ is preferred.

- Experience with Qualcomm Hexagon DSP / HVX optimization is preferred.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
