We are seeking a seasoned Director of Data Engineering to lead our data strategy and infrastructure initiatives in the Delhi/NCR region. Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and scale enterprise-grade data pipelines and platforms to ensure high availability and performance for mission-critical business applications.

- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams of data engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes technical excellence and professional growth.

- Drive the end-to-end presales process, including the creation of compelling RFPs and technical proposals, to secure new business and expand existing client engagements.

- Establish and enforce rigorous data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance across all organizational data assets.

- Collaborate with product and business leadership to translate complex requirements into scalable technical roadmaps that support long-term growth and AI integration.

- Optimize cloud-based data environments to improve cost-efficiency and processing speed, ensuring seamless integration between disparate data sources.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in building and managing large-scale data ecosystems using Python, PySpark, and SQL within complex, high-volume environments.

- Proven ability to architect modern data solutions on platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

- Strong strategic mindset with a track record of leading presales efforts and winning complex RFPs by articulating technical value to non-technical stakeholders.

- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage senior-level stakeholder relationships effectively.

- Deep understanding of data governance, security standards, and best practices in managing enterprise data lifecycles.

- Ability to integrate Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning workflows into data engineering pipelines to drive advanced analytics and automation.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical strategies clearly to executive leadership and clients.

- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, combined with 12 to 18 years of progressive experience in the data engineering domain.

- Flexibility to work in a hybrid model from our Gurgaon office, collaborating closely with local and distributed teams.
