Dimiour - MDM Engineer - Data Integration

Responsibilities :

- Design and develop MDM solutions based on business requirements and data governance policies.

- Implement and configure MDM platforms and tools (e.g., Informatica MDM, SAP MDG, Reltio, Profisee, Tibco EBX).

- Define and implement data models, data standards, and data quality rules within the MDM system.

- Develop and maintain data integration processes to onboard data from source systems into the MDM hub and distribute master data to downstream systems.

- Implement data cleansing, standardization, and enrichment processes to improve data quality.

- Monitor data quality metrics and implement data quality remediation workflows.

- Define and implement data matching and merging rules to create a single version of truth for master data entities.

- Configure and manage user roles, security permissions, and access controls within the MDM system.

- Develop and maintain workflows for data stewardship and data governance processes.

- Collaborate with data owners, data stewards, and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and ensure alignment with MDM strategies.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to MDM data, processes, and integrations.

- Develop and maintain technical documentation for MDM solutions, including data models, integration mappings, and configuration guides.

- Participate in the evaluation and selection of MDM tools and technologies.

- Optimize the performance and scalability of the MDM environment.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in MDM technologies and best practices.

- Participate in data governance initiatives and contribute to the development of data policies and standards.

Technical Skills :

- MDM Platforms : Hands-on experience with one or more leading MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica MDM, SAP MDG, Reltio, Profisee, Tibco EBX).

- Data Modeling : Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., relational, dimensional) and experience in designing master data models.

- Data Quality : Expertise in data quality principles, data profiling, data cleansing, standardization, and enrichment techniques. Experience with data quality tools.

- Data Integration : Experience with data integration tools and techniques (e.g., ETL, ELT, data virtualization) and integrating MDM with various source and target systems (e.g., databases, CRM, ERP, data warehouses).

- SQL : Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis.

- API Integration : Experience with RESTful and SOAP APIs for integrating MDM with other applications.

- Data Governance : Understanding of data governance principles, data stewardship, and data lifecycle management.

- Scripting Languages : Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or Java for automation and data manipulation.

- Database Technologies : Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and potentially NoSQL databases.

- Cloud Technologies : Experience with cloud-based MDM solutions and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with specific MDM industry solutions or data domains (e.g., Customer Data

Integration, Product Information Management, Supplier Relationship Management).

- Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.

- Experience with metadata management tools.

- Familiarity with data security and privacy regulations.

- Experience with workflow engines and business process management (BPM) tools.

- Experience with master data matching and merging algorithms.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as an MDM Engineer or in a similar role.

- Proven experience in implementing and managing MDM solutions.

- Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles.

- Relevant certifications in MDM technologies are a plus.
