Opportunity Overview:
As a Principal Consultant (Delivery Enterprise Architect) within the Dell organization, aligned to Consulting Service Delivery, you will provide consultative business and technical delivery services for a range of complex customer-facing consulting engagements, in partnership with Global Pre-Sales, Account Management and Solutioning Teams. Specifically, you will be part of projects deploying, administering and configurating Large Language Model and Generative AI software stacks. These projects will focus on allowing Dell customers to deploy and fine-tune GenAI models.
Also, as the senior-most technical member of the Services Delivery team, for the GenAI/Data Science Practice, you will work alongside other Dell badged Consultants, to earn the customers trust through competence, technical acumen, consulting expertise, and partnership. You would also be responsible for providing guidance/oversight to these individuals and technical grooming activities for their skill upgrading. This position requires a dynamic individual with expert customer-facing skills, leadership qualities and forecasting abilities for a particular technology and its lifecycle. The ability to guide customers and communicate technical processes and ideas is essential. These engagements often ensure that the customer is also enabled in the technologies being delivered.
The person should have the common traits and capabilities that are listed in Section 2 (Essential Requirements) and meet many of the capabilities listed in Section 3 (Desirable Requirements).
Key Requirements:
Experience and qualifications:
- 18+ years in the IT industry, preferably with a masters degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- 8+ years in Artificial Intelligence and Big Data within a customer-facing services delivery role, including the ability to engage Data Scientists and assess their current and future ecosystems.
- 5+ years implementing and supporting infrastructure deployment, setup, and configuration through automation (agentic automation a strong plus).
Generative & Agentic AI:
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and the broader Generative AI tooling ecosystem.
- Proven experience designing agentic AI solutions and agentic workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph, CrewAI, Langfuse, and LangSmith.
- Familiarity with the NVIDIA AI software suite, including NVIDIA Base Command Manager (formerly Bright Cluster Manager), the NeMo framework, and Triton Inference Server.
MLOps & AIOps Platforms:
- Deep understanding of the MLOps and AIOps ecosystem, with hands-on experience across platforms such as Kubeflow, MLflow, Run:ai, ClearML, Ray, H2O, and Cohere.
Data Engineering & Distributed Systems:
- Extensive production experience with distributed query and processing engines Kafka, Trino (Starburst) and Apache Spark.
- Hands-on experience with modern table formats (Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, or Hudi) for managing large-scale datasets.
- Mastery of cloud-native storage and compute e.g., AWS S3/EMR, GCP BigQuery/Dataproc, or Azure ADLS/Databricks.
- Deep understanding of columnar storage formats (Parquet, Avro) and how to optimize them for different query patterns.
DevOps, IaC & CI/CD:
- Proven application of DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code practices across both application development and infrastructure automation including desired-state configuration, GitOps, and CI/CD pipeline design.
- Extensive experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitLab, Argo CD, and Tekton.
Kubernetes & Containers:
- Proven experience deploying and configuring Kubernetes (e.g., OpenShift), with deep knowledge of application deployments, Helm charts, and Kubernetes operators.
- Extensive experience building containerized applications, including container image signing.
- Knowledge of AI-related Kubernetes operators, such as the NVIDIA GPU, Network, and Storage operators.
Consulting & Delivery Skills:
- Ability to earn customer trust and to plan, organize, and lead customer workshops; excellent written and spoken English is essential.
- Comfortable working in efficient Agile teams (Scrum or Kanban), including extended pairing and enablement sessions that drive knowledge transfer in complex domains.
- Ability to influence and interact with confidence and credibility at all levels within Dell and across customers, partners, and vendors.
- Experience delivering within a defined project methodology while adhering to SOW, margin, and planning requirements.
- Willingness and ability to be onsite for customer workshops and enablement sessions.
