Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled DataStage Developer to join our data engineering team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex ETL processes that power our core business analytics. You will work closely with data architects, product managers, and cross-functional business stakeholders to translate technical requirements into robust data pipelines. Your work will directly influence the accuracy and availability of our data assets, ensuring that leadership has the high-quality insights needed to drive strategic business outcomes and operational efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to work on modern cloud-native architectures while maintaining critical legacy integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable ETL workflows using DataStage to ensure seamless data integration across disparate enterprise systems.
- Optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures within Microsoft SQL Server to improve data retrieval performance for end-users.
- Migrate and integrate legacy data structures into Snowflake DB to support high-performance cloud analytics and reporting.
- Automate deployment processes by building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent and error-free code delivery.
- Collaborate with data governance teams to enforce strict data management standards, ensuring compliance and data integrity across the organization.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and troubleshooting complex DataStage jobs within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Microsoft SQL Server, including the ability to manage SSIS packages and optimize database performance.
- Proven experience in architecting data solutions within Snowflake DB, with a strong understanding of cloud-based data warehousing principles.
- Ability to integrate CI/CD best practices into the development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality code deployments in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical data challenges to non-technical stakeholders.
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in data engineering or ETL development.
- Adaptability to a hybrid work model in Bangalore, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively in both virtual and in-person settings.
