Data Steward - SQL/Power BI

About the Role :

Key Responsibility Areas (KRA) :

- Build and maintain conceptual and business information models to represent data flows

- Document and support business and technical data lineage across multiple applications and systems

- Drive and monitor data quality rules, create dashboards, and follow up on remediation actions

- Identify, engage, and collaborate with Data Owners, Data Custodians, domain experts, and business consumers

- Support data governance requirements, including regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, BCBS239, IRB)

- Partner with Agile teams to embed metadata management, lineage tracking, and quality-by-design principles into development processes

- Prepare and deliver domain-level data governance reports to ensure data accountability and transparency

Skillsets Required :

- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Excel, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI or MicroStrategy

- Understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and integration methods

- Familiarity with SAFe Agile framework and working in cross-functional teams

- Solid understanding of banking regulations, data privacy, and security frameworks

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and structured thinking abilities

- Excellent communication skills, able to bridge the gap between IT and business stakeholders

- Fluent in English; knowledge of Swedish or Baltic languages is an advantage

Educational Qualification :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
