Data Scientist

Job Overview :

We are looking for experienced Data Scientists to join our team on a 6 - 12 month remote contract. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Traditional Machine Learning, Statistical Modelling, Advanced Analytics, Forecasting, Optimization, and Large-Scale Data Processing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for taking data science initiatives from initial data exploration and problem definition through model development, validation, deployment, monitoring, and business adoption.

This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise, analytical thinking, business understanding, and communication skills. Candidates should be comfortable working with large datasets and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders in a European-time-zone working environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Exploration and Analysis :

- Explore, clean, transform, and analyze large and complex datasets.

- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and business opportunities.

- Define appropriate analytical approaches based on business requirements and available data.

- Identify data quality issues and work with relevant teams to resolve them.

- Develop meaningful features and variables for machine learning and statistical models.

Machine Learning and Statistical Modelling :

- Design, develop, and implement machine learning models for real-world business problems.

- Apply appropriate statistical and machine learning techniques based on the nature of the problem.

- Develop models for regression, classification, clustering, recommendation, forecasting, and optimization.

- Evaluate different algorithms and modelling approaches to identify the most suitable solution.

- Perform model tuning, feature selection, cross-validation, and model evaluation.
