About the Role :
We are looking for a Data Modeller with strong hands-on experience in enterprise data modelling and data design. The ideal candidate should be proficient in conceptual, logical, and physical modelling, with experience across relational, dimensional, and NoSQL data models and a strong understanding of data warehouse and modern data platform architectures.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise-scale data environments.
- Develop relational and dimensional models, including Star and Snowflake schemas, based on business and analytical requirements.
- Apply appropriate NoSQL data modelling patterns where required.
- Design data structures for data warehouses, data marts, ODS, and data lakes.
- Work with SQL-based platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
- Translate business and analytical requirements into scalable, reusable, and high-quality data models.
- Define data entities, relationships, attributes, keys, constraints, hierarchies, and business rules.
- Work closely with Data Engineering, Analytics, BI, Architecture, and business teams to ensure models support downstream data consumption.
- Apply knowledge of data integration, ETL/ELT, and analytics/BI requirements while designing data models.
- Use data modelling tools such as ER/Studio, Erwin, or equivalent.
- Review and optimize existing data models for scalability, performance, consistency, and reusability.
- Contribute to enterprise data modelling standards, governance, documentation, and best practices.
- Work effectively across global, multi-team delivery environments and client-facing engagements.
- Prepare clear technical documentation and presentations for business and technical stakeholders.
- For Principal-level responsibilities, provide architecture leadership, modelling governance, and guidance across multiple programs.
Required Skills :
- 6 - 11 years of overall experience, with 5+ years of hands-on data modelling and data design experience.
- Strong expertise in Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Modelling.
- Strong understanding of Relational and Dimensional Modelling, including Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Working knowledge of NoSQL data modelling patterns.
- Experience with Data Warehouses, Data Marts, ODS, and Data Lakes.
- Strong SQL knowledge with platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or equivalent.
- Good understanding of ETL/ELT, data integration patterns, and BI/analytics consumption requirements.
- Hands-on experience with ER/Studio, Erwin, or equivalent data modelling tools.
- Exposure to Azure, AWS, Snowflake, or Databricks is preferred.
- Experience working in enterprise-scale, multi-team data environments.
- Experience in Energy, Oil & Gas, Utilities, or large industrial domains is an advantage.
- Strong stakeholder communication, requirement articulation, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Consulting mindset with a focus on quality, standards, governance, and reusability.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in global delivery and client-facing environments.
Education :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
