Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Data Modeler to design and govern enterprise-wide data models that support analytics, reporting, and operational systems.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable conceptual, logical, and physical data models for modern cloud data platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, SMEs, and analysts to understand business processes, data lifecycles, and key metrics.

- Analyze customer, product, and business value chains to identify critical data entities and relationships.

- Develop scalable data models for enterprise data warehouses and modern cloud data platforms.

- Create semantic models to enable business-friendly access through BI and analytics tools.

- Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, metadata definitions, and governance practices.

- Partner with data engineering teams to ensure alignment between data pipelines and enterprise data models.

- Manage model versioning, lineage tracking, and change documentation.

- Support data governance, data quality, and business glossary initiatives.

- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and reusability of enterprise data assets across domains.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 7+ years of experience in Data Modeling, Data Architecture, or Enterprise Information Management.

- Strong expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.

- Hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, SQLDBM, or similar.

- Deep understanding of Dimensional Modeling (Kimball/Inmon), normalization, and schema design.

- Experience designing data models for Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, Dremio, or similar cloud data platforms.

- Strong SQL skills with the ability to validate model implementations and support engineering teams.

- Excellent stakeholder management and business requirement gathering capabilities.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

- Total experience should not exceed 15 years.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with data governance, metadata management, lineage, and business glossary tools such as Collibra, Alation, or Microsoft Purview.

- Exposure to ETL and data integration tools such as Informatica, DBT, Airflow, or similar platforms.

- Understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) and Reference Data Management principles.

- Experience working with customer, product, manufacturing, or supply chain data domains.
