Position : Data Governance Lead / Technical Manager

Role Overview :

We are seeking a Data Governance Engineer with strong expertise in Collibra Data Governance Center (CDGC) and Informatica tools. The candidate will be responsible for implementing governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, and enabling compliance across enterprise data platforms. This role requires hands-on technical skills combined with stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement data governance frameworks using CDGC, CDQ, CDAM, Axon, and EDC.

- Define and enforce data ownership, stewardship, and quality policies across systems.

- Configure and maintain metadata management and lineage tracking solutions.

- Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, IRDAI, BCBS 239, PCI DSS.

- Develop and maintain data dictionaries, source-to-target mappings, and governance workflows.

- Troubleshoot governance platform issues and provide mentoring to junior team members.

- Continuously adopt emerging technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Privitar) to strengthen governance capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5 - 8 years of experience in Data Governance / Data Management.

- Hands-on expertise with Collibra Data Governance Center (CDGC).

- Strong knowledge of Informatica tools (CDQ, Axon, EDC, IDMC).

- Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, GCP).

- Proficiency in SQL, Python, SAS for data profiling and analytics.

- Strong understanding of data modeling (conceptual/logical/physical, Erwin).

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Exposure to data privacy tools (Privitar, etc.).

- Familiarity with Kubernetes and modern cloud ecosystems.

- Prior experience in Banking, Insurance, or Retail domains.
