About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Data Governance Lead with deep expertise in Microsoft Purview, enterprise data governance, metadata management, data quality, and regulatory compliance. The role will drive governance strategy, implementation, automation, and adoption across large-scale data environments.

What You'll Do :

- Define and operationalize enterprise data governance strategies, policies, and standards.

- Lead Microsoft Purview implementation across large-scale data environments.

- Manage Purview accounts, collections, RBAC, Data Map, Unified Catalog, classification and labelling.

- Build and maintain business glossaries, data dictionaries, metadata repositories and lineage.

- Integrate governance across Azure Data Lake, Synapse, SQL DB, Power BI and Snowflake.

- Implement governance workflows using ADF, REST APIs, PowerShell, Azure Functions and Logic Apps.

- Define PII/PCI/PHI classification, sensitivity labels, DLP and security governance.

- Establish data quality KPIs, dashboards, remediation workflows and metadata audits.

- Drive stewardship programs with domain owners, data stewards and approval workflows.

- Support audit, compliance and regulatory reporting.

- Partner with Business, IT, Legal and Compliance teams to drive governance adoption and change management.

Mandatory Requirements :

- 7+ years in Data Governance/Data Management, including 3+ years of Microsoft Purview experience.

- Proven experience leading and operationalizing enterprise data governance frameworks.

- Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Purview - Data Map, Unified Catalog, RBAC, classification, labelling, DLP, eDiscovery, Compliance Manager and lifecycle/records management.

- Experience with metadata management, lineage, data classification and security governance.

- Experience with Informatica Axon, Collibra, Atlan or IBM IG Catalog.

- Strong Azure data-stack integration experience with ADF, REST APIs, PowerShell, Azure Functions/Logic Apps.

- Experience with data quality, business glossary, stewardship and governance automation.

- Strong knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA and SOX.

- Excellent ability to bridge technical, business and compliance requirements.

- Experience in B2B Technology, Consulting or B2B Software organizations.
