Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise data warehouse and data management solutions. The role requires strong expertise in SQL/PL-SQL, ETL, data modeling, and enterprise data platforms, along with the ability to manage delivery timelines and ensure adherence to development, documentation, and governance standards. Experience in Insurance or BFSI environments is preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data engineering and enterprise data warehouse solutions.

- Develop complex SQL and PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and data processing workflows.

- Perform query and database performance tuning for large-scale data workloads.

- Develop and maintain data ingestion, transformation, reconciliation, and integration processes.

- Use Python for data processing, automation, data validation, and integration workflows.

- Design and maintain dimensional models, ODS structures, and enterprise data models for reporting and analytics.

- Prepare and optimize data for BI and analytics platforms such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, and Tableau.

- Collaborate with business, analytics, and technology teams to understand data requirements and deliver reliable solutions.

- Monitor batch processes and production data pipelines and troubleshoot data-related issues.

- Support release management, production deployments, and post-production validation.

- Ensure data quality, reconciliation, documentation, and governance standards are consistently followed.

- Manage delivery timelines and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

- Contribute to continuous improvement of data engineering processes, frameworks, and development standards.

Required Skills :

- 8 to 13 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Data Management.

- 8+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise data warehouse solutions.

- Strong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL, including complex queries, joins, stored procedures, functions, bulk processing, and performance tuning.

- Working knowledge of Python for data processing, automation, validation, and integrations.

- Strong experience with ETL, data ingestion, transformation, reconciliation, and data integration.

- Hands-on experience with dimensional modeling, ODS, and enterprise data models.

- Experience supporting or enabling Qlik Sense, Power BI, or Tableau.

- Understanding of production support, batch monitoring, release management, and data governance.

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
