Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.

- Develop and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models.

- Build efficient data models using star/snowflake schemas and implement appropriate relationships.

- Write complex and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and views.

- Develop DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs in Power BI.

- Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, files, and cloud platforms.

- Perform data cleansing, transformation, validation, and quality checks.

- Optimize Power BI reports and datasets for performance, scalability, and usability.

- Implement and manage Power BI workspaces, datasets, dataflows, refresh schedules, and gateways.

- Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Implement appropriate data security and Row-Level Security (RLS) in Power BI.

- Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data-quality or reporting issues.

- Follow best practices for data governance, documentation, version control, and deployment.

- Collaborate with Data Analysts, BI Developers, Software Engineers, and business stakeholders.

Required Skills:

- Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI.

- Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

- Strong hands-on experience with DAX and Power Query (M).

- Experience in data warehousing and dimensional data modeling.

- Practical experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.

- Understanding of data engineering concepts including data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and data quality.

- Experience with Power BI Service, workspaces, gateways, deployment pipelines, and scheduled refreshes.

- Knowledge of Azure/AWS/GCP data services is preferred.

- Experience with tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, or similar data platforms is an advantage.

- Familiarity with Git/version control and CI/CD is preferred.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

- 3 - 6 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering, BI, Analytics, or Power BI development.

- Relevant Microsoft/Azure/Power BI certifications are an advantage.
