Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake, DBT, SQL, and Data Warehousing to build scalable data transformation pipelines and modern cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing enterprise data warehouse solutions, optimizing Snowflake environments, and implementing DataOps best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain modular DBT models, including staging, intermediate, and data marts.

- Build and optimize scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines and data ingestion frameworks.

- Design and maintain Snowflake schemas, data models, and transformation workflows.

- Implement and manage Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and Virtual Warehouses for efficient data processing.

- Develop and optimize SQL queries and DBT models for high performance.

- Implement data quality checks, testing frameworks, and data validation using DBT.

- Manage CI/CD pipelines for automated DBT deployments and Snowflake schema changes.

- Collaborate with Analytics Engineers, Data Analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.

- Implement role-based access control (RBAC), security policies, and secure data sharing within Snowflake.

- Troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines, SQL queries, and performance bottlenecks.

- Maintain data lineage, documentation, and enterprise data standards.

Required Skills:

- 810 years of experience in Data Engineering.

- Strong expertise in Snowflake, DBT Framework, and SQL.

- Experience building Enterprise Data Warehouse (DWH) solutions.

- Strong understanding of Dimensional Data Modeling, Star Schema, and data warehousing concepts.

- Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and data ingestion frameworks.

- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix Shell Scripting.

- Experience with scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, or equivalent.

- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have:

- Exposure to Databricks.

- Experience with cloud data platforms.

- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or DBT Cloud.

- Familiarity with Power BI.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
