Role Overview :

As a Data Engineer - 2, you will serve as a critical architect in our data ecosystem, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that fuel our analytical and operational capabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and software engineers, to transform raw data into actionable insights.

By leveraging the power of Google Cloud Platform, you will ensure that our data infrastructure is robust, secure, and performant, directly impacting the companys ability to make data-driven decisions and enhancing the overall customer experience through personalized and efficient services.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement end-to-end ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load large-scale datasets, ensuring high data quality and availability for downstream stakeholders.

- Optimize data warehouse performance within BigQuery by architecting efficient schemas and partitioning strategies to reduce latency and infrastructure costs.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to automate data workflows, reducing manual intervention and increasing the reliability of our data products.

- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline failures, proactively addressing bottlenecks to maintain seamless data flow for business intelligence reporting.

- Implement best practices in data governance and security to protect sensitive information while ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.

- Mentor junior team members by conducting code reviews and sharing technical expertise to elevate the overall engineering standards of the department.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated proficiency in building and managing complex data pipelines using modern ETL frameworks and cloud-native tools.

- Advanced hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services, specifically BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer, to solve real-world data challenges.

- Strong command over SQL and programming languages like Python or Java, with an ability to write clean, maintainable, and highly efficient code.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear documentation for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative, hybrid work environment in Gurgaon, maintaining high productivity and alignment with team goals.

- Strong analytical mindset with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, coupled with 4 to 6 years of professional experience in data-centric roles.
