Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced GCP Data Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform, DBT, and Airflow. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing data pipelines, implementing data models, ensuring data quality, and managing scalable cloud-based data solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on GCP.

- Develop and optimize data solutions using BigQuery, with a focus on performance optimization and cost management.

- Build and manage DBT Cloud models, including SCDs, tests, and macros.

- Implement and maintain DBT governance and data quality frameworks.

- Design, develop, and optimize Airflow workflows for data pipeline orchestration.

- Develop data pipelines using Python and advanced SQL.

- Implement data models using facts, dimensions, and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCDs).

- Perform BigQuery tuning and optimization to improve performance and manage costs.

- Implement CI/CD practices using GitHub, Bitbucket, and other CI/CD tools.

- Use infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Implement data quality checks and frameworks to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

- Apply cloud security and IAM best practices across data engineering solutions.

- Develop and support cross-cloud data pipelines.

- Troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines, Airflow workflows, and BigQuery workloads.

- Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.

Key Skills & Competencies :

- 4+ years of experience with GCP expertise.

- Must Have skills: DBT + Airflow.

- GCP: BigQuery, optimization and cost management.

- Data Engineering Tooling.

- Data pipeline development.

- Advanced SQL.

- DBT Cloud experience (models, SCDs, tests, macros).

- DBT governance.

- Airflow workflows, GitHub, Bitbucket, CI/CD tools, Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Data quality frameworks.

Education :
