Role Summary :

We are seeking a Snowflake Data Architect to design, govern, and evolve modern cloud data platforms on Snowflake.

This is a hands-on architecture role for someone who can own the full lifecycle of a data platform, from ingestion through transformation to AI-enabled consumption.

Need to be able to translate business requirements into scalable, cost-efficient, well-governed designs.

You will set technical direction, establish patterns and standards, and partner closely with engineering, analytics, and stakeholder teams.

The ideal candidate is fluent in the modern Snowflake ecosystem: Fivetran for ingestion, dbt for transformation and modeling, Snowflake Cortex for embedding AI and LLM-driven capabilities directly into the platform, and Snowflake's native streaming capabilities for real-time data movement.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own the end-to-end architecture of Snowflake-based data platforms, including ingestion, storage, transformation, semantic modeling, and consumption layers.

- Design and enforce data modeling standards (e.g., medallion / layered architectures, dimensional and/or Data Vault patterns) appropriate to each workload.

- Architect ELT pipelines using Fivetran for managed ingestion and dbt for transformation, including project structure, testing, documentation, and CI/CD.

- Design real-time and near-real-time data flows using Snowflake streaming capabilities including Snowpipe Streaming, Streams (change data capture), and Dynamic Tables.

- Design and implement AI-enabled features using Snowflake Cortex including Cortex LLM functions, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, and document/text processing workflows.

- Define and govern cost optimization strategies: warehouse sizing, scaling policies, resource monitors, workload isolation, and consumption monitoring.

- Establish security and governance patterns, including role-based access control, masking and row-level policies, data classification, and secure data sharing.

- Set standards for environment management, Git-based version control, and deployment automation across dev/test/prod.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship: review designs, guide engineers, and raise the overall quality bar.

- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, present architectural options with clear trade-offs, and drive decisions.

Required Qualifications :

- Proven experience architecting and delivering production data platforms on Snowflake.

- SnowPro Core Certification (required).

- Hands-on, production-level experience with dbt (modeling, testing, macros, project structure, and deployment).

- Hands-on experience with Fivetran for managed data ingestion and connector management.

- Hands-on experience with Snowflake data streaming with Snowpipe Streaming, Streams (CDC), and/or Dynamic Tables for real-time and near-real-time pipelines.

- Working experience with Snowflake Cortex (Cortex AI / LLM functions, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, or comparable Cortex capabilities).

- Strong SQL and data modeling skills, with the ability to select and justify the right modeling approach per use case.

- Solid understanding of Snowflake performance tuning, cost governance, and security/access control patterns.

- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD for data pipelines.

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs to both technical and business audiences.

Preferred Qualifications :

- SnowPro Advanced: Architect Certification (strongly preferred).

- Experience operating in a consulting or client-facing environment, advising stakeholders and shaping technical direction.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and their integration points with Snowflake.

- Familiarity integrating Snowflake with Salesforce.

- Experience with orchestration tooling and metadata-driven pipeline frameworks.

- Exposure to broader AI/ML or RAG patterns built on top of Snowflake data.

- Experience designing for governance and observability at scale (data quality, lineage, monitoring)
