Own the end-to-end analytics stack on Azure, ingest and model data (ADF/Synapse/Databricks), build governed semantic models, and deliver high-impact Power BI dashboards with rock-solid performance and standardized KPIs.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO :

Data Engineering (Azure) :

- Design, develop, and maintain ELT/ETL pipelines in Azure Data Factory (parameterized pipelines, datasets, dataflows).

- Perform advanced extraction and transformation from structured & unstructured sources (SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB/NoSQL, files/APIs).

- Write and optimize T-SQL (queries, UDFs, views, indexes, CTEs, procs, triggers).

- Build and maintain dimensional models (star/snowflake) and data-warehouse layers; apply proper partitioning and indexing.

- Work with large datasets using Azure Synapse, Databricks, PySpark for processing and analysis.

- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance tuning across data solutions.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce model-ready tables for dashboards and ad-hoc analysis.

Power BI (Semantic Layer & Dashboards) :

- Design, develop, and deliver interactive Power BI datasets and reports with strong DAX and Power Query (M).

- Translate business requirements into scalable semantic models, KPIs, and effective visualizations; apply UI/UX best practices and data storytelling.

- Handle large/complex datasets with incremental refresh, composite/aggregation models, and VertiPaq optimizations for fast load times.

- Communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders; proactively improve existing reporting solutions.

- Automate report operations with Power Automate; create Paginated Reports using Power BI Report Builder where needed.

Governance, Security & Operations :

- Enforce dataset/report governance : certified datasets, RLS/CLS, workspace policies, usage monitoring.

- Maintain lineage, documentation, and SLA/SLO awareness; drive consistent metric definitions across teams.

- Support CI/CD (Git/ALM Toolkit/Tabular Editor/DAX Studio), gateway management, and environment promotion (Dev/Test/Prod).

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING IN YOU :

- Role : Azure Data Architect.

- Experience : 7-10 years total in BI/Data Engineering.

- Qualification : BTech/BE, MBA/PGDM.

- Prior Experience/Background : Hands-on Power BI experience (DAX, Power Query, modelling) is mandatory.

COMPETENCIES :

- Strong Azure expertise : ADF, Synapse, Databricks, ADLS; solid T-SQL and PySpark/Python.

- Proven dimensional modelling, schema design, indexing, and performance tuning across data and BI layers.

- Ability to convert ambiguous business asks into reliable datasets and impactful dashboards.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and data-storytelling skills; self-driven and solution-oriented.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :

- Azure governance/catalog (Purview), monitoring & cost optimization.

- SQL/Python/R for advanced analytics; exposure to Agile delivery.

- Experience with Data Vault. Power Apps integration.
