Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of modern cloud-based data platforms on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in data engineering, data warehousing, analytics, governance, and cloud-native architecture, with the ability to build scalable, secure, and business-driven data solutions that support enterprise reporting, analytics, and AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and architect enterprise-scale data platforms and analytics solutions on Microsoft Azure.

- Define data architecture standards, best practices, and governance frameworks across the organization.

- Lead the design and implementation of modern data lakehouse architectures, including medallion architecture and enterprise data warehousing solutions.

- Architect and optimize data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption frameworks for structured and unstructured data.

- Develop scalable solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, and related Azure services.

- Establish data modeling standards and support analytics and reporting requirements through Power BI and self-service BI capabilities.

- Design secure and compliant data architectures, implementing data governance, RBAC, ABAC, and cloud security best practices.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, analytics teams, and solution architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Define CI/CD strategies, DevOps processes, and deployment frameworks for data platforms.

- Drive platform performance optimization, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency initiatives.

- Provide technical leadership, architecture governance, design reviews, and mentoring to engineering teams.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to the enterprise data ecosystem.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 10-15 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Warehousing, or Cloud Data Platforms.

- Minimum 4+ years of experience architecting enterprise data solutions on Microsoft Azure.

- Strong expertise in :

1. Unity Catalog

2. Azure Data Factory (ADF)

3. Azure Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake)

4. Azure Data Lake Storage Gen1/Gen2

5. Power BI (Data Modeling, DAX, Visualization)

- Deep understanding of :

1. Data Integration

2. Data Warehousing

3. Lakehouse Architecture

4. Medallion Architecture

5. Modern Data Platform Design Patterns

- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and/or PySpark.

- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, and DataOps/DevOps practices.

- Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, security, and compliance frameworks.

- Excellent communication, documentation, stakeholder management, and solution design skills.
