Role Overview :

As a Data Architect, you will lead the migration of enterprise data warehouses from Azure Synapse to Databricks using a modern Lakehouse architecture and agentic approach. You will be responsible for defining architecture, designing scalable data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and guiding engineering teams through the migration process.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the migration of data warehouses from Azure Synapse to Databricks.

- Design and implement Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers following Lakehouse architecture.

- Convert SQL-based workloads into Spark SQL and PySpark.

- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory.

- Define scalable data models and architecture for enterprise data platforms.

- Implement data validation, governance, monitoring, and quality frameworks.

- Follow best practices for testing, deployment, logging, and performance optimization.

- Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver scalable data solutions.

Mandatory Skills :

- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Architecture.

- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks.

- Expertise in Spark SQL and PySpark.

- Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).

- Proven experience in Azure Synapse to Databricks migration projects.

- Strong understanding of Lakehouse Architecture.

- Experience with enterprise Data Modeling.

- Knowledge of data governance, validation, and performance optimization.
