Data Analyst - SQL/Excel

About the Role :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets to extract meaningful insights that support strategic business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, finance, and operations to identify trends, measure performance, and recommend improvements. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools, and the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities :

- Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple internal and external sources

- Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and key insights

- Build dashboards and visual reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker

- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver clear, actionable outputs

- Present findings and recommendations to business teams and leadership

- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular performance reports

- Assist in building predictive models and supporting machine learning initiatives (optional)

- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security at all times

Required Qualifications & Skills :

- Bachelors degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field

- 5 - 7years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role

- Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and at least one analytics tool (e.g., Python, R)

- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker

- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and working knowledge of databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift)

- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders

- Strong attention to detail and data quality
