Role Overview:
As a Core Verification Engineer, you will serve as a technical authority in the validation of complex high-performance processor cores and SoC architectures. Your day-to-day involves architecting robust verification environments, driving constrained-random simulation strategies, and ensuring the functional correctness of intricate RTL designs before they reach silicon. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including RTL designers, architects, and firmware engineers, to debug complex bottlenecks and optimize verification throughput. By maintaining the highest standards of quality and coverage, your work directly impacts the reliability of next-generation computing platforms, ensuring our products deliver industry-leading performance and power efficiency to our global customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement advanced UVM-based testbenches to verify complex processor features, ensuring 100% functional and code coverage for critical design blocks.
- Lead the development of constrained-random verification strategies to identify corner-case bugs in RTL designs, thereby reducing the risk of costly silicon re-spins.
- Collaborate with RTL design teams to perform root-cause analysis on complex functional failures, facilitating faster design convergence and shorter time-to-market cycles.
- Mentor junior engineers on verification methodologies and best practices to elevate the overall technical proficiency and output quality of the engineering team.
- Drive the integration of formal verification techniques alongside simulation to validate complex control logic and state machines, enhancing the overall robustness of the core.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in building scalable UVM environments from scratch, with a deep understanding of testbench components, sequences, and scoreboards.
- Proven ability to navigate and debug complex RTL designs, utilizing deep knowledge of hardware description languages to identify and resolve logic discrepancies.
- Strong proficiency in Verification Engineering methodologies, including the application of assertion-based verification and coverage-driven development to meet rigorous quality metrics.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical challenges to stakeholders and influence design decisions across multi-site engineering teams.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering, complemented by a track record of delivering high-quality silicon-proven designs.
- Ability to thrive in a high-collaboration environment, demonstrating the adaptability to work effectively within hybrid or on-site team structures to meet aggressive project milestones.
- Candidates must possess 8 to 16 years of relevant industry experience in core verification and design validation.
