Role overview :

The ColdFusion Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting web applications using Adobe ColdFusion (CFML), integrating with databases and APIs to deliver secure, performant business solutions.

The role often involves modernising legacy apps, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with product owners, QA and other developers.

Key responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using ColdFusion/CFML, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

- Build and enhance data - driven features, write and optimise SQL queries, and manage database integrations (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).

- Implement and consume REST/SOAP APIs for integration with internal systems and third party services.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues; optimise performance and ensure application security and stability.

- Participate in requirements analysis, technical design, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities following SDLC best practices.

- Document code, modules, and processes; contribute to refactoring and modernization (e.g., MVC frameworks like ColdBox/FW/1).

Required skills and experience :

- 5 years of hands on experience developing web applications with Adobe ColdFusion/CFML.

- Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL (stored procedures, views, query optimisation).

- Proficiency in web technologies : HTML, CSS, JavaScript; familiarity with AJAX and modern JS libraries is an advantage.

- Understanding of web security best practices (input validation, authentication/authorisation, OWASP basics).

- Experience with version control (Git) and working in Agile/Scrum or similar collaborative environments.
