Clicflyer - Power BI Technical Lead - SQL/ETL

About the Role :

We are looking for a Power BI Tech Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable Business Intelligence solutions across our analytics ecosystem.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys building impactful dashboards while mentoring a team and shaping BI best practices. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and leadership teams to deliver decision-ready insights that power strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership & Strategy :

- Lead end-to-end delivery of Power BI solutions across multiple projects and clients

- Define and enforce Power BI development standards, governance, and best practices

- Mentor and guide Business Analysts and BI developers through code reviews and technical coaching

- Drive adoption of modern BI tools, automation, and scalable reporting frameworks

Dashboard Development & Data Modeling :

- Design and develop interactive, high-performance Power BI dashboards and reports

- Translate business requirements into KPIs, metrics, and scalable data models

- Build and optimize data models in collaboration with Data Engineering teams

- Develop advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, and reusable templates

Data & Performance Optimization :

- Optimize dashboards for performance (query tuning, data modeling, refresh strategies)

- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL workflows

- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across all reporting assets

Stakeholder Collaboration :

- Partner with business stakeholders and clients to understand requirements and deliver impactful insights

- Communicate complex data insights clearly to non-technical audiences

- Collaborate with Data Engineering and Platform teams on data pipelines and architecture

Governance & Quality :

- Ensure proper documentation, version control, and metric definitions

- Implement data governance, security (RLS), and compliance standards

- Conduct dashboard and data quality reviews

- Innovation & Continuous Improvement

- Stay up-to-date with Power BI advancements and industry trends

- Identify opportunities for automation, self-service analytics, and AI/ML integration

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5 to 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence / Data Analytics, with 2+ years in a leadership role

- Expert-level proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, performance tuning)

- Strong experience in SQL (complex queries, optimization, stored procedures)

- Deep understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling

- Experience with Power BI Service, datasets, gateways, and workspace management

- Proven ability to handle large datasets and multiple data sources

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage stakeholders and leadership

- Experience mentoring or leading BI teams

Good to Have :

- Experience in retail/FMCG analytics

- Familiarity with Python integrations in Power BI

- Experience with ETL pipelines and data engineering workflows

- Exposure to automation, monitoring, and AI-driven analytics
