About the Role :

Our client, a fast-growing F&B company based in Mumbai, is looking for a Chief Technology Officer to own technology as a genuine driver of the business's next phase of growth.

This is a broad, hands-on leadership mandate spanning the full technology stack - product, engineering, data, and digital infrastructure - rather than a narrowly scoped technical role.

The firm is looking for someone who can think and operate like a co-builder of the business, not just a technology custodian.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own the end-to-end technology charter - product, engineering, infrastructure, data, and digital platforms - as the firm's single point of technology leadership

- Translate business priorities into a technology roadmap that directly supports revenue growth, customer experience, and operational scale

- Build and lead a lean, high-performing technology team, scaling capability as the company grows

- Drive digital and tech-enabled initiatives across ordering, delivery, supply chain, and customer engagement relevant to a scaling F&B business

- Evaluate and implement the right mix of in-house build vs. external platforms/vendors, balancing speed, cost, and long-term ownership

- Partner directly with founders and business leadership as a core member of the leadership team, shaping strategy beyond pure technology delivery

- Put in place the systems, data infrastructure, and technology governance needed to support the company through its next stage of growth

Ideal Candidate Profile :

- 10+ years in technology leadership roles, with a track record of owning broad, cross-functional technology charters rather than a single narrow specialization

- Experience in F&B, hospitality, retail, or other consumer/operations-heavy businesses preferred

- Demonstrated ability to operate as a business-first technology leader - someone who can genuinely help take the firm to its next level, not just maintain existing systems

- Comfortable operating in a lean, high-growth environment with significant ownership and limited hand-holding

- Strong stakeholder management skills to work directly with founders/promoters and cross-functional business heads

- Prior experience building or scaling a technology function from an early or mid stage is a strong plus
